Middlesbrough Memory Walk
We are planning to host a walk to tie in with the Alzheimer's Society initiative: "Memory Walks".
Our walk will take place on Saturday, October 5th. We will start at 10 am but depending on the numbers attending we may introduce staggered starting times.
The starting point is AV Dawson, Riverside Park Rd, Middlesbrough TS2 1UT and we'll assemble in the overspill car park (click here for a map and other details)
We will be collecting funds via our Just Giving Page (click here). All money donated via this page goes directly to the Alzheimer's Society
If you would like to join us there is a form at the foot of this page. If you can't manage the form, just call 0800 587 5184.
This walk also has an element of heritage. You will hear about how the first steam locomotive for Russia left from the very location where we start our walk. Other stories will be heard along the route including a connection to Mauritius and the revelation of where L.S. Lowry really started to paint his famous picture of the old town hall. You can get a taste of the stories to come with this preview (Click).
Finally, if you are planning to come you way want to get yourself an Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walks Tee shirt.
